I had JDs in the 60s and thought I was done with them, until seeing them in nature.
I think sailfin mollies would make a fabulous biotope, with brackish water and maybe even mangrove.
Some of the mollies were as large as adult JDs, but they lived at more deeper depths of over 12ft, so I couldn't get a pic, they were also a beautiful, very iridescent blue.
My plan is to go back this year and get some underwater shots.
The catfish seemed to be preying on young JDs and mollies, as did the gobys
