Very nice pair!
Don't leave the fry with the parents too long.At least when my pair starts to breed again they eat the previous batch if left with them.And keep a divider handy in case she isn,t ready to breed when He is.With mine they are fine togather as long as she breeds when He is ready.If she doesn't He kicks Her butt

How long is that for you...I was thinking like 2 weeks. Id like to leave them in and have that keep them from breeding again right away but I dont think thats how it works. I need to build a divider...luckly she is almost as big as him...he was ready and she wasnt and he beat on her but never did a bunch of dammage. Splashed a lot of water out the tank tho lol.
Im going on 7 weeks with fry in the tank and they are acting like they are spawning again...the female hasnt come out at all tonight except to chase me off or grab some food and then back under all the wood. I cant see eggs because they lay them out of sight, but this is the same behavior she displayed last time.
They still protect the babies though...coming after me if i get near the tank. Her more than him. He just swims up to me and stares, she tries to attack me then goes back under the wood. Typical drama, blowing things out of proportion.
I might be taking the fry to a LFS this weekend, but if not, Im gonna leave them in and see what happens. The fry are getting big fast.
No violence at all from the male towards the female. they really seem to like each other.
Time will tell I guess and the divider is standing by for instant use!

How many fry did you guys have? I only had about 400 or so. When my rtm had fry, there were over 1000 at least...and even more when my dovii did.

Fishluver...I see you cut the back of the pot out....I was thinking about doing this because they try to get at each other through the small hole and scratch up around there mouth because it kinda fits in that hole. How did you do it? And what side pots are those? Mine ar 12"...
