you just made a question and then you answered it yourself.

I did? I asked what was the best way to take a picture so the spangles show up. that could mean any fish or any bass....

with the comparison question...I was asking cuz everyone is comparing a Mono with and Orino. I didn't know that Orinos look like Monos at a juvie age. "correct me if I'm wrong".... what does that have to do with taking a picture?

your one of the reasons why I don't post threads about my beautiful collection. either your hating or just a plain arse. don't derail my thread. have something positive to say or don't say it at all...

they don't... only columbians look tad bit like the 2 but there are obvious destinctons that are visible to the trained eye.

thanks, that clarifies things.... crossing fingers and praying...

theres differences, but ive seen experts say mono and end up with orino...
we'll see.;)
i have some looking the same btw.
less than 2",reddish eyes, cheek markings, very greenish, blue hue pretty noticable on fins.
i'll get pics up soon...

these pics dont show them well...but these are some bass i picked up a few weeks ago.
they actually have very bold cheek markings, red eyes, blue hue on their tails, already showing spangles and have "diamond" shaped bars.
had 6,one jumper out somehow and was eaten.

nice fish channarox, dude I'm totally confused anymore about IDing these fish. Some people tell me that the black stripe doesn't run to tip of tail, yours does, so if yours are orinos, then who knows what my 29 are. I'll wait and post pics in a few weeks. Those two from pet solutions should be in today, i'll post pics of them later on today.

I don't believe channarox is saying his are orinos. Just that they look like laosy's fish. They all look like ocells to me, but that's not saying much.

Channa....you pretty much described my fish..I had a jumper too so now I'm down to 3. still hoping and wishing though..yours are looking sexy!

the fins on yours are identical to mine. they are starting to show very nice patterns...I'll get some close ups and out of water pics tonight when I do a w/c..

Channa,

what were you told they were when you bought them?

I was fooled several months ago when I thought I came across some Orino's. I was mistaken..
