Not to rain on the parade of irresponsibility, but peacock bass fishing requires a FL fishing license and has a bag limit of two per day.

not to rain on your parade of jumping to conclusions and sounding like an ass, but maybe he pulled them from private waters...

anything is possible so why not inquire politely instead of calling him irresponsible.

How often do I feed them the guppies? and when I do feed, how many per bass? I think their little bellies could only take 2...

nononononon, their bellies can take A LOT!!! You will be surprised lol

how big are they first of all? did you try live black worms? i hate to so it.. i am not trying to be mean so dont take this the wrong way but you are doing the cichla keeping thing all backwards bradda. your supposed to do the research first and find out all the knowledge and info before getting the fish.. instead of just killing some baby cichla for no reason. by me reading this thread you odviously dont pertain any knowledge about keeping cichla despite the fact that baby cichla are extremely hard to keep and are not for the new comer joining the hobby. how big are they? how many do you have? they are in your 10 gallon tank? whats you water quality like? whats your ammonia and nitrates? and ph? water temp? you took these fish out of the wild . they were prob in perfect conditions. why dont you release them before they die.. do the research, set up the right tank and then give it a try again. if you have any questions i will be more then happy to help you out via PM's or right here on the forum's thread. oh and p.s. if you are not taking them from a private pond then you need a florida fishing licenses, there is a bag limit and they have to be a certain size.. so dont let anyone see you taking them ;) or you will be paying fines for poaching

send me some basses before you gets arresteded!!!

I agree with you Boosen, but in the moment of seeing baby peacock I didnt think it all out. Do you think they will live if I release them back, I fear the mother will eat them. I have no idea what my water is like, its tap water, I treated it with the drops. Water temp is 79F. Thats all I know.

No I havent tried the black worms, ill see if the LFS(what does that mean anyway?) has some when I get more guppies today.

I have 4 in the 10 gallon, and 15 in the 20 gallon long.

For those of you who are serious about wanting a fish, I guess I can sell them for $15, but I want to wait til theyre eating well.

Thanks

LFS=local fish store

I personally would release them back to where you got them.. Then follow the directions Boosten audi gave you... start by getting a water test kit... get your tanks set up right and CYCLED !!!! then give pbass a try....just my opinion though...
