South east Florida
I live in Fort Lauderdale and have been looking at Youtube videos of people catching gigantic, vivid pink, yellow, red and orange Midas cichlids in south Florida waterways. But NO ONE would reveal the source.
I saw a building I recognized, googled it and found a basic location. I went there yesterday and quickly had these two neon orange beauties in my cooler for the drive home and into my aquarium in about five minutes. (Honestly)
I saw dozens and dozens more just in the tiny area of canal I was fishing in!
Email me and I will give you the location, bait you will need, etc.
I will share this with fellow enthusiasts that are looking to keep a few of these prize fishes.

You should see these guys in the sunlight.
They glow.

"Living wild" would be a better term then.
Im thinking about adding them to my new pond.
Its 3 feet deep. 7 feet across and 13 feet long.
Maybe I can do like five of them in there?

Feral is still the technical/official term used when domesticated/captive cats or dogs are running around wild/free, I believe it would be the same with fish?

regardless... a pond that size, you could stock it with quite a few of these bruisers... 5 would be rather empty for a pond that size imho, unless you're stocking it with others
