It's likely due to a more isolated habitat and deep water depthness. Listed as the 4th most alkaline lakes. Turkana senegal specimens including the PBB are heavier set (phat body). Appearance differs as well for both. Turkana Senegals have been speculated to be Meridionalus. Which can grow over 20"+.
