what is a 'mojarra'? those don't look like umbees
there are a few cichlids that are not umbees... very interesting

i can see why people are into these monsters... they're crazy big!

that last umbie pic has a nuchal I have never seen on an umbie! Nice. Makes me want dedicate all my time to my umbies. Not really. maybe 1/4.

Mojarra is just a common term for cichlid in Central/South America.

Those are sweet fish, but not as big as I expected for wild adult male umbie. (Don't let the photos fool you, they're doing the old fisherman's trick on most of them.)

what trick is that? closer objects appear larger than they really are?
 
Those umbie are insane! Im guessing they are not good eating and thats why they are fished for less. From the site it looks like they were bass fishing and just happened to get them. One of them weiged 3lbs
