Those are sweet fish, but not as big as I expected for wild adult male umbie. (Don't let the photos fool you, they're doing the old fisherman's trick on most of them.)

Unfortunately he was ill a few weeks ago and passed away. He became lethargic, stopped eating, swimming with his caudal fin up, and developed a few pimple like lesions. Furanase, Maracyn and Marcyn II but no effect. Next time I'll be sure to have Nitrofurazone on hand for I heard that does wonders. He was 17" TL:tydus;2056201; said:Wow that umbee is massive. Yes, I have 5 juvies growing out now. The biggest at 4.5" TL. I'm guessing male for this one and will keep everyone posted.MDH;2056359; said:Oh no, I'm sorry to hear about this Roliva. He was one heck of an umbee too. By the looks of your signature, I assume you're growing out another?
