Will 1/4" of salt water hurt freshwater fish?

i Got a 230g used saltwater tank, but we couldn't get it drained completely, so we left about a 1/4" of saltwater in the tank, would this be ok for my South americans? I figured it would be but i thought i would double check

Probably not... Soak it up with rags

Why can't you get all the water out? South Americans are probally the worst fish to give saltwater too. If it was Africans I would say go for it!

Yeah you want that thing fully drained and vinegar cleaned.

that really isn't a option at this point since we added the sand, I don't even think i had that much salt water in there

Overflows, and it heavier than crap, and i didn't have much help.
