Will 1/4" of salt water hurt freshwater fish?

1 inch of water in a 220g is about 7 gallons.

so you might have 7 gallons of saltwater with 213 gallons of freshwater.

the specific gravity will be so low it won't even register on a hydrometer or refractometer.

look at it this way: you probably would have more salt in that tank if you did a normal dose of salt to treat ich than you do now with that much water to dilute the 1 inch of saltwater..
