hey guys i got a jardini in a 120 gal,hes about 4 inches, will it work if i throw a couple of laoches in there?

I don't see why not. They occupy two completely different zones of your tank.

It will probably not work out in the long run. When the Jardini is 12" the clown loaches will still be the same size as they are now. Even though the jardini occupies the top portion of the tank they will travel to any and all levels for food.

Combo should be ok UNTIL your jar goes crazy and tries to kill everything....

thanx for the advice guys, still debating if i should i get some, maybe with alot of hiding spots they should be ok.

given a mean jar even with a lot of hiding places loaches would probably only last two months tops...

pacman cats and frog mouth cats work as great jar tankmates as a rule they are the sort of fish to look at....

The hiding spots would help but..... Clown loaches are very personable and will get themselves into trouble. I have some 5-6" ones in with a 16-17" Leichardti arowana. He has caused fin tears in all the clown loach's at one point or another but they still continue to swim 1/2" in front of his face especially when they see me anywhere near the tank. I overfeed this tank big time to ensure he is not hungry at any time. If not for this I can guarantee the loach's would not be alive right now
