I am also trying to give the OP the correct information he is looking for...your saying its not good alone on 100-200 gallons and needs support, that bit doesn't concern the OP he is looking for 67g not 100+, so for under 100 gallons I absolutely believe 1 XP3 is perfect. Sure the OP could throw an XP3 and an AC110 but is it necessary? No. His tank is probably half the length your 150 was/is and therefor the power jet attachment will move the debris up to the intake no problem, he could probably get away with using the spray bar attachment. I used the power jet attachment for my 90 (48'') and it moved the debris up to my intake no problem.

Sounds like your arguing to me:p Just giving another one of my experiences. Sorry if you took this information out of context and ignored the example I gave that is pertinent. I feel confident that the OP as most others understand this.

not arguing just saying your experiences are with larger tanks, and that for a smaller tank the filter is more than adequate

How is my 55g larger then the OP's 67g? As I said you seem to ignore the pertinent information in order to support your view:nilly:

Well considering the two versions of your 90g that I seen, the salt with lots of rock and the moderately planted. I would say the debris was hidden from your view. In a barebottom you see it all.

Again I have never said it would not work, as I have no idea how the OPs tank is set up. But I am correct in saying that it MAY not work well for mechanical filtration.

i dont believe ac110's are available in australia,
i personally have never seen one in a shop or on website
what would be a suitable replacement for an ac110?

any recommendations on the uv sterilizer?

That is too bad, IMO there really isn't a HOB filter that is comparable to the AC110. You next best choice would be a Emperor 400. Maybe your best bet is just going with the XP3. Sorry no advise to give on the UV filter, not sure if putting it in line with the XP3 would further reduce flow or not.

Okay , so both of you drive good points .... Every filter has potenital , my rena xp4 couldnt clean my 75 gallon alone.... i put it on my 200 with some pumps moving around alot of water and it cleaned it fine. Id say no filter is any good without the support of good waterflow and your tank turning over. So to your original question , i would not do just a rena alone , i would do the rena xp3 and maybe a power head or two to help force derbis to the rena , ( powerheads like 10$) so no big need for more filtration , just make sure your filtration has its best potential working! :)
