No offense OP, just kidding around. but definately get ready for for large & frequent water changes for at least a couple days imo. Carbon is a good idea as well. Just make sure when changing that much water not to let the temp flucuate too much and use a good dechlorinator. Hope everything works out

1) clean that filter out! 2) you cant kill fish with WC's as long as you use decholrinator and clean water. 3) do a 50% every few hrs untill you have done at least 200% + to get all that raunchy stank juice out of your tank.
Good luck!

Oh cmon. You guys scared this poor OP into a hole :grinno: We should be helping the little fellah :D

Ya, thanks for the input. I get it, I ****ed up. Quite honestly, I don't know how the rena got fixed, I just turned it on and it was working suddenly. I didn't clean it out because I didn't do anything to fix it. I probably should have turned it off right away. The smell has lessened, but is still somewhat there when I smell the water. I will do another water change and clean the filter this weekend. Oh! And the water cleared up! It was cloudy, but is almost crystal clear now. The fish are fine, and there is tons of circulation in the water right now. I have 2 filters running and a seeded sponge filter attached to my powerhead.
