HA . My con lay her eggs on a leaf of a plant .

Mine does not actually lay the eggs on the driftwood. She lays them on a rock. The dirtwood is just where she puts them right after hatching.

y0 i gotta question my cons laid eggs an they hatched and they r lil wigglers right now should i move them to a 10 gallon because i have some other fish in the tank that will eat the fry

My cons spawned 10 times before I sold them, and the big gravel didn't bother them. The fry actually hid in between the gaps in the gravel when they felt threatened.

nevermind about the tinfoil a series of events lead to his untimely death last night :( we had to move the tank he was in and i had a new tank for him set up so i figured it was the right time to move him to his new tank since i had to drain his current tank to move it. i had him in a bucket to aclimate to the new tank and he jumped out (stress!) then after i covered it he slamed himself into the lid a number of times (trauma) and when he finally got into his new tank he imedialy began to swim upside down :( and it was just watching him fight for about an hour and then the long walk to the trash:cry:

go to ebay and search, breeding cave, theres a ton of them, then they are safe and wont get lost in the gravel, also better allows parent to protect eggs/wigglers
