Will any of these fish stress the discus out?

Definitely probable. Plus the setups needed to maintain discus will not be suitable for the other fish in most cases. I would keep either discus or some of the other fish.

How long has that discus been in there? Any indication of success?

Madou Madou had a thread recently where it was discussed how discus can easily be outcompeted.

I bought him at LFS on July 30 the day before I started working at my new job/now old job since I moved to a new dispensary here in Denver. HE IS SAVAGE! He tolerates temps down to 74, eats like a beast, claims his space but very docile...pretty much like any other fish i guess. I started w/just 1 to see how it worked out and it's good so one more at a time. If my I replace the canister w/ a new one I would like to add as many as I can while keeping ppm's low, overcrowding is not considered when you look at it like:
- how many of each of these fish individually could you keep in this tank? it's 65g so if you keep even 25 discus it'll be ok. so if i can keep my stock to under 25 fish that will all get along i want to just make it like all peaceful fish, that would be able to live in there w/there own kind, but w/ different kind. kinda? :)

the tank this discus was in (half) were kept with a jardini 11" & the fish keeper mentioned that yes, the jar wouldn't let them eat so he transferred half of the other smaller ones to another tank.. if u are comparing to larger predatory fish then surely competition or just temperament will take precedent vs compatibility. with community style, all confident feeders, they'll do great if you just look at them like a silver dollar or even a peaceful/temperamental cichlid. the tiger scat at 1" is the most vicious so as long as the rest of the fish continue to outgrow him, then the tank will be at peace but at this rate looks like in a few months he may just go in the DEADPOOL pond with the ray & aro.

I got some of my discus already, and I have to say, the bigger ones do eat fine, but the smaller ones get outcompeted by a 3 cm clown loach that's there for the time being (too active, it's gonna jet eventually). So I dunno, other than the fact the BGK might take chunks out of them eventually, I don't see that happening.

I find it comical when people say it won't work, or it's not right, or whatever. Just because it's not common doesn't mean it's not appropriate. If I just posted my discus, in my tank for the last 3 months you still say it won;t work, well then i guess i'm just lucky.

This is fish keeping....... everyone's experience shared here collectively is nothing more than examples of both good + others let's say, still learning. Doesn't matter to me what other opinions are when it comes to style i guess. Science will be science but fun part is seeing what's fun vs boring. Sorry but even if u have a bad ass tank and you don't push the boundaries.....you & your tank are boring, have fun if it works...or at least always stay learning.IMG_1063.jpg

I have personally experienced clown loaches chasing discus because are attracted to the mucus that discus exude. Others have had this work out fine. I would never take the chance again.
I would first determine if the discus needs are met and then look at the compatibility of each other fish based on these needs:

*temperature: 82-84 degrees
* feeding- discus eat slowly and cannot be with fish that out-compete them for food.
*compatibility: discus are gregarious and need to be in group of at the very least- 5.
* activity: discus are very low activity and are diurnal. The move very slowly ( in terms of the fish we keep in aquarium) so need to be with fish that are not too active or move to quickly. They are active in the day and do not do well with nocturnal fish.

With this, I would scratch all the fish you have listed with the exception of Congo tetras- this may work, but you will need to make sure feed enough that discus will get enough food.

In the 16 years I have kept discus- these are the fish I have successfully kept with them:
Corydoras: c. adolphi, duplicareous, and weitzmani.
Characins: Hemigrammus bleheri ( Rummy nose tetra), Paracheirodon axelrodi (Cardinal tetra), Paracheirodon simulans (Green neon tetras- adults), Hyphessobrycon pulchripinnis ( Lemon tetra).
Cichlids: Mikrogeophagus ramirezi ( German and Electric Blue varieties).
