hello all , has any one ever heard of any thing happening on the snakehead front. i know this sounds stupid as im only 24 and it prob wont happen in my lifetime but just wondering if there is any word of them making them legal again to people who for sure can house them aka with permits and all that good stuff. i would get rid of all my fish in my large tank to have one

ive looked . and also the thing is ive heard about 20 different things on the trouble for getting caught with one. from a 250 dollar fine to like 10 yrs in prison. ive even tried looking it up online to find out and couldnt find anything. id prefer to have one again when there legal not illegal though

well that would be speculation anyways so....
there has to be someone on here that has some inside info as to the chances of them becoming legal again one day at least i thought there would be

uhh, i'm scared of snakeheads man because that thing....is a true monster, not sure if is legal in canada (where i live) but i'd want one. anyway, hope it'd be legal in your state.

Forget about it.A government entity has imposed a ban on these fish and they have no reason to rethink it or lift it.The people in these organizations likely are not hobbyists so they dont care about the fish and care less about what a handful of hobbyists think about the whole situation. It's almost like an abuse of power but hey it's just a fish.I suggest you look into a bowfin. It is a native fish that very much resembles the snakehead but is not nearly as agressive
