Yeah I had one years ago then the DNR took it away. Wanted so long to have another but knew never have one again so I just let it go. Don't care about it anymore as I 'am now into exoctic plecos.

Forget about it.A government entity has imposed a ban on these fish and they have no reason to rethink it or lift it.The people in these organizations likely are not hobbyists so they dont care about the fish and care less about what a handful of hobbyists think about the whole situation. It's almost like an abuse of power but hey it's just a fish.I suggest you look into a bowfin. It is a native fish that very much resembles the snakehead but is not nearly as agressive

ive already had bowfin they are close but no cigar. i have a pic of a lil bowfin on my gallery. and there is a lot more than just a handfull of hobbyist who would like to have the snakehead species again even if it wasnt the red line species. id settle for a cobra if they were to make them legal again

Alot of plecos get huge and IMO, fancy ones are pretty /V\onster.

I meant that the authorities see this as a case of a handful of fishkeepers wanting to have snakeheads as pets,no matter how many of us wants to be able to have them,it wont sway the decision of the authorities. They have decided that the fish is a threat to our native waters and that's that.
