its really stupid that some fishes are banned in a certain area, whats the big deal, stupid gov, with all due respect, we always look after the fish we keep, I were you, I travel to some place where its available, then buy it and bring it home with me. Oh well I live in Asia, so nothing is illegal here.

I think your pretty screwed at a national level.
Your only chance is to get your state to legalize them some how, usually people view state authority over riding national in issues of banning items.

their legal here, i always see them at the LFS. Rainbow snakeheads (Channa bleheri) are very common fish here.

I was thinking of bringing it back across the border inside a shampoo bottle. Though i was flying and if i where to get caught with it , 250,000 dollars and 25yrs in prison. When you mess with the borders it becomes a federal matter. If you find a snakehead around , they useally just take it away. I know people who have them , and i know people that had them taken away. Thing is just keep your mouth capped. Threads like these already ruin your chances of ever owning one.
I've been reported on craigslist before for selling moray eels. Some lady sent me a nasty email about taking morays away from their home blah blah blah and that she was reporting me , and what i was doing was writen in hells book and highly illegal. People will get ya. Though i was doing nothing wrong.
