Will it heal?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Not to beat it to death but unless there is damage to the ray structure and only a split fin it always heals. Melafix/Pimafix is great marketing useless as anything else but and air freshener. Nice looking Bifa otherwise, not sure of the sex, try venting for 100% accuracy.

those who say negative things about Melifix. Just they dont know how to use them..

Melifix had cured my best ever fish and saved his life when all kinds of expensive meds coudnt do the job.

I too felt they were a waste of money for the growing of fins because the fins can grow with out melifix. I came on here to ask for advice because my fish was getting eaten away by fungus that couldbe stopped. and ppl tell me that Melifix was no good so i never got it. But i ran out of meds to try so i gave it a shot. It was life saver of this fish you see here..

some times listening to wrong advices can limit the chances. Just gotta give it a try if you feel it's worth it. I bought a bunch of meds and wasted them for 2 weeks as things got worst.. Till i used melifix for that illness. Melifix also good for cloudy or pop eyes..

I usually say things out of experience.

im not saying Melifeix is good for everything because it is definitely not. But it was the one that cured my fish when i was hopeless with the one fungus.. It was the toughest fungus i had ever seen..

kind of like seeing Seth knocking out Kimbo. I was surprised to know Melifix cured it.

And you got a nice fish man. Just keep water clean with no fish nipping on his fins and youre good.

Tell me HOW it worked and I'll go buy some Melafix today...Oh, wait. Even the company who manufactures it has no idea how or if it works. Does it lyse gram- or gram+ bacteria? Anti-parasitic? Anti-viral? They don't know; and admit as much.

What was that all about? I agree with Modest Man on the vurtues of that product but it wasn't a personal attack against you. If you want to vent a fish it's V shaped for male and U shaped for a female. some fish are easier than others to vent but if you look close you'll see it. Do take such offense to different opinions, we are not going to agree all the time :chillpill:

I've always had luck with my fishies fins healing just from waterchanges and good diet. I've had a couple of my BGJD's get shredded to hell and within a few days they're fine. Just keep your waterchanges up and they'll be fine. I've never used any meds to treat my fish other than Mardel and Jungle. I've never treated them for beat up fins, just did my normal waterchanges.

Yeah that fish was in bad shape, I'm glad melafix cured that grow on his head :headbang2

I use it and get great results, I don't need to know why or how it works. I buy pure tea tree oil and mix it myself. Much cheaper.

I just thought I'd say that Melafix isn't anywhere near natural (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melafix)
I'm not sure how you get that it's not natural from that site. It's tea tree oil and distilled water.
