Will it never end? More lame customer moves.

I love the customers that dont have a clue. I have had so many families come in and looking at the saltwater while holding a fishbowl. Then they come over and ask me to catch them a nemo and dorie. So I ask them if they have a saltwater tank and they tell me no and I ask them how big their tank is and they say they are going to put it in the bowl that is when I just start laughing inside and say thats not going to work.
Then I had a customer that had caught some saltwater fish and a nudibranch and had brought them across the border which I dont know how they managed that. And she said that some had died so I ask her what she is keeping them in she says she had kept them in the bag! I don know how those 3 fish and a nudibranch had survived that long sadly they all died within a few days.
Then there is always the people who have bought fish that are too big for there aquarium size and bring them in and say they were told they only grow to the size of the aquarium. So I take them but very irritatedly one lady brought in a chalceus, a silver dollar, and two synodontis in 1 ziplock bag. and she had all of these staying in a 20 gallon aquarium. People just frustrate me so much. And it doesnt help that I cant say no to any animal in need so I will take most animals that are brought in b/c most of the time we dont have room for them at the store.

Wow This reminds me. some redneck let her son choose some fish. I watched him choose a front, a RTS, a pictis cat, and a senegal bicher.
She was gonna get a GBR but i said i wanted it(knowin it would be fish food). She said in some Redneck accent i want it soo i said ill play rock paper skizors for it. I won luckily and she had a good life with me.

i feel annoyed because i wouldn't be able to help any doomed fish like the ones mentioned. this is because i wouldn't have the courage to intervine and i dont know about fish, there max sizes and stuff like that, i guess its cos im new to the hobby

your knowledge will come with time. its taken all fishkeepers time to acquire our knowledge and yet none of us know it all, very experienced yes but not anything near it all. we are always learning. so dont feel too bad.
I have been out the 'business' for a few months now. I can honestly say that my head is a lot clearer now not having to deal with some customers. I can't say it was all bad, as some customers want to learn, and others appreciate the advice. Some of it was fulfilling, a lot of it was suicidal.
I think its a dissapointing cycle, and feel sorry for the animals (the majority) that end up meeting their fate at the hands of ignorance.Sometimes i really think the same animals cruelty laws applying to mammals should apply to aquatics.
Only if we could go back in time to prevent the early days of the mainstream aquaria indsutry becoming so full of generalized 'rules', practices, and misconceptions.

Sadly I work in Wal*Mart, in the Lawn & Garden/Hardware/Pets/Cart Pusher/whatever the hell else they are too cheap to hire .... anyways ... i get retards in all the time .... "Hey lets go pick up a patio set in a 6x5 box with our Honda Civic!!!" or, "Hey mix X paint with X paint because you were obviously not trained how to use a 80k piece of mixing equipment and i know how to work it" ........... especially the guy, well the 2 guys who decided to put a meh, 500lbs glass table on the top of their car (from a patio set) and hold it with their hands while they drive..... and I never saw them again. (Because according to Wal-Mart management When its off our property its not our problem)
