A lady came in with an octopus. She wanted to trade it in. Not something our customers really covet, but we will make an offer on most things. We sell them for $80, and offer 1/3 of what we sell them for. She called me a "clown" and stormed out. Why does everyone think they have the rarest thing on the planet when they bring it into the store?

ppl many think they have the rarest thing on earth but u just told us why we don't trust sales man offer 1/3 of what your going to turn around and sell it for hahaha thats why we have a buy sell trade section here most of us won't sell to a LFS due to getting screwed did u at least offer her a better deal if she got store credit ??? like 1/2 to 3/4 what she paid so at least u would end up with your money back in the long run ?

I dont know if I posted this in this thread.....but at my friends LFS, a guy came in and asked if he had large oscars, males. He said no, but tomorrow i should, he said ok, I will be in, and all I need is to borrow it, but I'll bring it back, just need to borrow it. And he was dead serious.

noooooooooooooooooooo clue.....lmao...another guy came in one day, and said, i need cartridge filter pad. My friend says what size....he looks and says, kinda like that one....he says this one? no, wait bigger....my friend then says, well, you know what, bring in the old one, and we can be sure. He says to my friend, oh, I have it in the car, wanna see it?..........LMAO.

i was in a LFS a couple of weeks ago and i was buying feeder fish and this guy comes up to me and says

Guy: what u feeding?
Me: Red belly piranhas
G: cool i got a couple of them.
M: how big?
G: about 8" u want them i'm trying to get rid of them?
M: no mine are just juvies and they will get killed by the bigger ones more then likly.
G: No they should be fine.
M: i don't think so.
G: how much do u feed yours?
M: at least twice a day.
G: huh? i only feed mine once every couple of months.
M: uhh i think we're done here

She wanted $80 for it, we would have to sell it for $over $200. Who would pay that? We can buy them from our suppliers for $30.
