will my cylinder block pond hold up?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry about the auto correct from my phone, not building a fish tank car... Yet ..
I asked my uncle like stated above for this project said IT can work but not a good idea he said a intex pool with plywood sides would be the best for how I want it. Problem is I can't find a good enough size! And yes am looking for something permanent. When I did the math yes i did math without someone telling me to id need 202 blocks to make what i want. If anyone has any info for an intex pool no bigger 8' minimum 6' ill be greatly thankful !

That's a lot easier than cinder blocks. Less room for errors.

Hmm okay so I've been looking around some threads and a guy used 2x4's to make his pond. So could I stack up the 2x4's then use deck nails to hold them In place and then for the corners drill in some deck nails from the side of the woods to keep them stuck together? And then after all that on the outside drill in some painted plywood and drill it on the 2x4's walls for extra strength and better appeal.

Ditch the nails and use exterior deck screws, stronger and guaranteed to hold. If you decide to go this route buy the materials and build the frame first. Post it here and I guarantee you other members will give you great ideas. Go back to the threads just to make sure what materials you gonna be needing and start your project the right way. Good luck. Exciting, isn't it?

is this another project that will never be built...
