If you are referencing U.S. currency, which coin? If the silver dollars are 30mm or larger I think they will be ok if you put them in with your cichlids.
Yes they are head to tail 3 cm or little less

I have a similarly sized dempsey with similarly sized tetras that he doesn’t pay any attention to.
Texas are also surprisingly more herbivorous than you’d think.

They have seen each other no my turt is looking for them and chasing and they are constantly evading

Guys that dude is chasing them real bad like literally trying to find them and gets fast and furious when sees them

I think you will be better off in the tank they currently are in, but yes, adding more hiding places will help. Particularly helpful would be pieces the turtle certainly can't get through.
Good luck with your board exams... and with dollars of all kinds (fishy and money ones).
