i cant find jungle medicated food or praziquantel anywhere. i was told that prazipro will help kill the camallanus worm (yes, single worm) in my tank. my angel has had it for a bit more than 3 weeks. no other fish are showing symptoms of camallanus, and theres only 1 worm hanging from my angel's anus. will prazipro do the trick?

PraziPro is the same as praziquantel and no-it won't kill camallanus. Lupin knows the name of the recommended stuff....levisole....something like that. If you do a google search for that worm you'll find it.

Praziquantel is too weak for camallanus. It's a futile effort if you try with prazi. Get levamisole hydrochloride which is sold as sheep bolus, levasole and many other trade names for it.

and where can i get this stuff?

I've seen it at feed stores. They use it for livestock. Not sure of the fish dosage though. Otherwise I know a vet would have it. Heck, do a search on any livestock websight (Lambriarvet.com is a good one) and you should be able to order it from there without any problems.

Aim for 2mg per liter. That's the recommended dosage.

hmm... my dogs are due for a checkup soon. should i ask the dog vet if theyve got any in stock?

Yes, it doesn't hurt to try but most likely what he will have is praziquantel only.

oh.... what about jungle labs medicated food? ive heard people say theyve used it to kill camallanus.
