Will these LED lights work?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
^ Those are LEDs too, just more expensive LEDs, and they're daylight. RGBs are the way to go for fish color, and they're stupid cheap if you cut out the retailer.

i know those are leds, and they arent more expensive then the ones OP orginally posted of the amazon link. 10watts of the flood leds are like $10-$15. thats cheap and perfect for fish only tank. RGB's are nice but not nice for aquarium. mind as well get color gravels if going with RGB lights. and the rgb flood leds cost more then the regular flood leds. have u even seen rgb in aquariums with color lights? looks ugly and unnatural.

I was under the impression that you read the whole thread.

Yes, I have seen RGBs because that's what I have, covered that already. I ordered the 5050s to have more RGB. The 5050s come in daylight too, less than $30 for 300 of them. You could get a 5m strip of each and still be better than $70. I've had daylight LEDs and I thought they looked horrible (for the same reason I have soft white lights in my house instead of those newfangled daylight bulbs).

Just my opinion I guess, but the only thing that looked natural to me was the 3 20W xenon soft whites I posted about earlier. They just don't do much for cichlid colors.
