I never get tired of seeing these O's, nice wild O's. So it's mostly lip-locking without a lot of nipping/biting/damage? Yeah they might be 2 females. I'd almost think you had a pair but I'd have thought you'd see some more courting behavior in time.

Thank you very much,,, yes mostly just lip locking..then they rest and even hang out together then go back to this lip locking again...then eat and hang outi do not see any courting behavior yet..so i have to agree that they probably are females... moody..lol

I had a pair of O's once. They spawned a couple times. The one thing I noticed about their behavior, was that they would 'test' each other before each spawn. I learned that I could predict a spawn based on this behavior. So, I would deduce that, based on the behavior you have observed in your O's, they have not formed an actual pair and are very likely the same sex. I would think that if they were going to spawn, they would have done it by now. Beautiful oscars though, Liz!

Yeah mine do the same too, but I thought mine were males... I read somewhere about their spots on the bottom of their fins = males... I've had mine for over a year and they've calmed down quite a bit. Along with the lip-locking mine kinda shove each other around as if to say "Get out of my way."

well these could be boys,pretty sure of one thing...they are the same sexi just do not want them to stress too much..thats how you run into HITH etc.. but yours sound like they are doing fine....
