i have nursed some larger parachromis from injuryes such as this, you never know though, with a fish this small, it may not, just make sure to put in a seperate tank, meleafix, salt, and warm water, and it should be alright

That looks very bad - Must have been with the Devil way too long. I can tell you though that I've seen worse, and saved the fish, but no, yours doesn't look saveable. I'm sorry to say.

Are you medicating/treating the water?? If it is still alert and swimming around, there might be a slight chance, but that guy is in pretty lousy shape as it is.

IF he survives, how long it takes is entirely up to your care.

to me it looks like scales were ripped off, but no real injuries to the fish's body, the tail may be a problem though

I gotta ask.... you don't consider ripped-off scales "a real injury" to the fish's body? Just wondering.

yeap what he said, melafix warm water and salt... need to keep that fish from getting worse or an infection! good luck!

no i don't i have had fish lose scale from battles, alot, they have always been nursed back, and were plenty healthly a couple weeks later, like people healing from minor cuts, if chunks of the fish were ripped out i'd be worried.

looks like it's gonna be a struggle....tell ya what tho if u do manage to nurse it to good health and it does become monster, u godda take it back to that RD for revenge!! fook i hate RD's!

i have the temp at 86 and treating the water with salt. My friend told me this happened with in 5 or 6 hours in the middle of the night. She seems kind of alert but doesn't swim around much and if she does she doesn't even use her tail.
