Well the inside dimensions may be smaller, Maybe a 380gallon without the 50gallon filter. ANYWAY, does this stand look like it could support the weight of the gallonage above? Stand is 8'Lx3'Dx2'H. The supports are doubled up 2x4's with 3"screws. Im not worried about horizontal as I believe having the outside covered with plywood will be enough (unless you prove me wrong)

if all of your horizontals were doubled up 2x4s on edge, and there was cross bracing, id say maybe.

as it sits id have some concerns. water and rock equals out to what, 10lbs per gallon as a good round figure. so your stand needs to hold 4000lbs give or take. park you car on top of it and see how it holds.

overkill is your friend if you are unsure.

I would add a cross brace or two across the middle, other than that it is probably okay. The 2x4 running along the top horizontally in the middle may not actually be supporting much, depending on what kind of tank it will be. A smaller glass tank would just be supported around the edges, but if your tank is acrylic then the extra support will be helpful.

Depending on what the tank is made of, it should hold. I agree with adding the cross-bracing

It severely needs lateral support. Other than that it should be good to go.

even though it will be strong where the posts are, it will be very week in between the posts. will be lots of sagging...

If you skin it all with 3/4" plywood and a 1" plywood top I would be be OK with it.

1" plywood top and it wont sag at all. People way overbuild stands, when was the last time you heard of a stand failing completely?
