PS. It's kind of hilarious that we turned this into a Lounge thread.
Geez you age well mate, looking good for a guy in his 40's.Stan, you inspired me to post a selfie as well.
My favorite newer band is Of Monsters and Men, from Iceland. If we consider "newer" going back to ~2000, my favorite band is by far The White Stripes.
PS. It's kind of hilariousI was only saying the other day that I'm not bothered about the lounge cus I never use it.PS. It's kind of hilarious that we turned this into a Lounge thread.
Cool. I'll have to check out some of those bands. It seems like our taste overlaps a lot. My top five is rather predictable, but it is what it is- Beatles, Zeppelin, Rush, Stones ... Actually that's only 4. There's isn't a fifth band that rises shove the rest to the same extent. Honorable mention to Queen, U2, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Pink Floyd, Sabbath/Ozzy, Priest, Maiden, White Stripes, etcGeez you age well mate, looking good for a guy in his 40's.
Love the white stripes too, not heard monsters and men.
One of the few modern bands I like is catfish and the bottle men.
The UK music seen has gone right down hill since the 90s,far fewer guitar bands. Just lots of manufactured, disposable, eye wash.
Maybe it's age, or maybe it's just gone down hill but almost all I listen to is from the 60s to the late 90s.
A few others I like, and a few guilty pleasures are, the cure, Simon and garfunkle, the stones, Ian brown and the stone roses, the jam, supergrass, duran duran, aha, the the, Depeche mode, blur and seude.
Bowie the beatles, oasis, the smiths and the kinks are probably my top 5 though.
