will this work for a 155 gallon tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
See if you could talk the guy down to $100. It wouldn't be a bad deal then because it does include a $60 pump, and then you wouldn't have to worry about putting time in to make one.

so i had been looking around and found a 24L X 24W X 11H would this work? i know its not very tall but would fit perfect and it was $60+tax. what you think?

The width is nice. And it comes out to about 27 gallons. I would give it a shot. Just use the space wisely. I would just go with 2 chambers. One for the bioballs and the other for the return pump. This way depending on the size of the return pump you can determine how big the return pump chamber needs to be and in return you can use the remanding space as the bioball chamber.

Yea its short. Its up to you if you want to give it a shot or not. Theres always the second option which is to get a second canister.

soooo after much looking and reading i think im just going to go with another FX5 anD fill it with half biomax and then half bio balls, i can end up buying the fx5 and biomax cheaper then what i will end up spnending on making the sump by the time i add in the cost for the plumbing, the tank size i need (size restrictions) xtra glass pieces for baffles, material for a drip plate, and then lids, and lack of knowledge on these still (money id spend on an accident cuz of my DIY skills suck:thumbsdow)

that and look for a used AC110 (IF ANYONE HAS ONE LET ME KNOW!:D)

so i will continue to read more on these in the mean time and one day build one or wait for a good deal on a pre-made one to come around! (AGAIN IF ANYONE HAS ONE FOR A GOOD DEAL LET ME KNOW!:D)

THANKS FOR ALL THE ADVICE ILL let u know what i end up doing
