I almost guarantee failure. Someone who even attempts this won't know enough to manage that bioload.

Reminds me of my first cichlid experience before I did my research, had a RD go all "highlander" in my tank. The lesson wasn't worth the lives it cost.

:ROFL:guarentee:screwy: The bioload is the easy part.

For this guy failure is pretty much inevitable.

The post you quoted was incomplete I meant "someone who would ask if this combo would work" isn't going to know enough to handle the bioload.

It may work for you because you obviously have the knowledge, but not this guy.

Flowerhorns and Red Devils are mean fish as are Jags. I think a 5 ft. tank would become a war zone when they get some size. Oscars are territorial not aggressive and would not last long at all. Butti's are crazy. This would not be a good mix of fish IMO in anything short of a pond size tank.

GMFB the guy keeps rays and arowanas and you don't think he knows anything about bioload:screwy::ROFL:You think maybe he is asking the question to maybe just find out others opinions on the matter? Maybe just to start a conversation with others who actually have experience in the matter, which you seem to be lacking. IMO by the way he is going at it he actually has a very good idea what he is doing.

Well since you stepped to condecension, let his pics prove me wrong after a few weeks of having that tank setup ;)

Aggression or bioload...it won't matter...They won't.

The husbandry difference is significant enough to matter anyway. Keep touting your own horn because you got lucky

WTF are you talking about, how did I get lucky.

Arowanas and Rays are not the same as cichlids.
BTW-why don't you go over to the Aro and Ray section you could do good over there :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
