I almost guarantee failure. Someone who even attempts this won't know enough to manage that bioload.

Reminds me of my first cichlid experience before I did my research, had a RD go all "highlander" in my tank. The lesson wasn't worth the lives it cost.

The post you quoted was incomplete I meant "someone who would ask if this combo would work" isn't going to know enough to handle the bioload.

It may work for you because you obviously have the knowledge, but not this guy.

Flowerhorns and Red Devils are mean fish as are Jags. I think a 5 ft. tank would become a war zone when they get some size. Oscars are territorial not aggressive and would not last long at all. Butti's are crazy. This would not be a good mix of fish IMO in anything short of a pond size tank.

Maybe just to start a conversation with others who actually have experience in the matter, which you seem to be lacking. The husbandry difference is significant enough to matter anyway. Keep touting your own horn because you got lucky
