Also does anyone have any tips for getting the Ctenopoma off of mealworms? thats all he will eat which is fine since I breed them for my Blue Tongue but it does not seem like a very good diet for long term health. Im going to try starving but so far the foods I have tried are...
Shrimp
Tilapia
3 kind of pellets (cichlid, Shrimp, Crushed up massivore)
Earthworms ( nightcrawlers and trout worms)
Blood worm
None of those worked lol except for the mealworms. They are nearing the end of quarantine so I might try to starve him in the 75g also starlight plec will prob be moved to the 125g so it is a true biotope

The Masked Shadow The Masked Shadow Im not dropping the oscars I already have them. So its official im going congo biotope in the 75g (hopfully that makes duanes duanes happy lol) and selling the plec and pictus in the 125g and prob just keeping the three cichlids in the 125g
So 75g stock
2x del
3x ABF (Butterfly not Bush)
3x african brown knife
1x leopard Ctenopoma
2-3x ctenopoma ansorgii (not sure if they will get eaten)
maybe 6-8 congo tetra
And maybe a spiny eel although not sure if their are any from the congo basin
I tried to stick to low flow fish I might add a power head just to keep things circulating but I dont have any one hand since I threw mine out after It shocked me... Twice
let me know
This plan is good except you may want to drop the ansorgii just because it would suck to see them get eaten. Maybe get some dwarf cichlids instead?
There are a couple of Congo spinies but they don’t really show up that often. A peacock or half banded would get along as long as you are willing to pretend it’s from the Congo and not Asia.
I would actually not do the tetras. They can be a little too aggressive, especially towards slower fish like knives or long finned ones like the butterfly.
