I miss my Mak....My sks was a fun one as well-I need to pick up another...But money is going into my Ak first and foremost...

Long range shooting fascinates me. Most people dont understand but a shot over 300 yards is pretty difficult. A shot at 600 yards, you REALLY have to know what you are doing and at 1,000 yards, you literally have to be a mathematician to get the round on target.

I certainly agree man......I nice spotting scope is in the works as well.....But we have many of them locally....I need to learn alot more on the windage aspect of things as well.....But overall I should fair pretty well at this after the steep learning curve of course....I have been reading alot on diffrent ballistics as well......And holy hell can that get confuseing quickly....

I'll have to take some Vids when time permits me too it seems....

Take some vids, did you buy this weapon new? If not do you know how it was grouping?

Oh yeah, you should down load one of those ballistic data apps for your iphone or crackberry. The better apps are actually pretty useful Ive read.

This is basically new-
Less than 10 rounds through it......Bought from good friend....Grouping was well under 1 inch at 200......Guy was not a skilled marksman by anymeans......I'm not the greatest-But better......the diffrence is my willingness/determination to learn it.....I fair pretty well at stuff like this and have very steady hands.

I'm not familar with this new technology either man-I have not ventured into this Iphone berry stuff yet.....Can I do this with my Itouch by chance...

.5moa is NICE! Heck the bore isnt even broken in yet, be sure to follow a proper break in for first several dozen shots.

I hear ya on the phone tech, man Im still rocking a Nokia candy bar with the snake game on it! A phone is a phone for me.

But yes, you can download them on your itouch.

Yep-I'm the same way as well-A phone is only a phone-I only have one cause of the place I live-It wouldn't be fun to be broke down or stranded out in the boonies here......I ended up in the ditch last new years at 3 am at -17------even with heated seats and car running it was miserable to sit there and wait for 2 hours why the tow truck came......Couldn't imagine not haveing a fun and haveing to walk out in that crap...
