Windex is NOT GOOD

i use windex, just make sure the tank is closed. and when I clean the hood with windex I make sure I TAKE IT OFF THE TANK!!!!!!

That's why I spray the cleaner on the towel and not on the tank.

exactly, and just to be on the safe side i even do that in another room...maybe slightly paranoid, but better safe than sorry. my sister killed her husbands malawis like that

I have seen windex used as a terrorist weapon my roomate had a angry girlfriend that poured probly half a bottle in a 55 it killed a few small fish but a big o and a little jd act like nothing happened i guess they where lucky oh and that was not the first assanation attempt on the fish either but it was the last i knew of because i moved out and havent spoken to them since it's been a few years crazy domestic problems over there lucky my fish did not get caught in the crossfire.

my parents always get these clorox cleaning wipe that are presoaked with window, i use these and never have to worry about the spray or api cleaning wipes they have them at petco and work good.

i use windex and i spray it right on the glass just not a whole spray just put the nozzle on the glass and let the windex out slowly, works like a charm

customer brought me a water sample to test and her ammonia was around 3.0 after a number of Qs she said she cleaned out the inside of the tank with windex
