No, not even close. I have a modded focus that i drive during the summer and my winter beater is a..... ford aspire. I think if i hit a deer with this tiny car the deer would win. It actually does surprisingly well in the snow cuz its so light and has really narrow tires that just cut through it but on the ice there is no stopping it. It just glides across and i hold on with my eyes closed.

it does make it hard for traveling especially when you have to fight traffic along with it... no traffic here ... just watch out for snow banks..cjohll;2441923; said:I drove a few winters in a focus and they previous owner put some fat tires on and it sucked. I did put snow tires on last year and never had a problem. Stupid snow
all i can say is i never thought it was that cold in northern KY.. or that the winter was so long... now you have a faint idea of what its like here... just multiply that by inches and wind... yes sometime in april i will see the first robin again... omg that is a long way off...JD7.62;2441968; said:Yall can keep that white crap up north! I moved to Northern KY from Alabama and its just too dang cold with winters that last too long!
Im use to winter starting in early December and ending in early March, and cold is below freezing. Not here, winter starts in late October and doesnt end till late April or so!! Then you have those weeks of consecutive days BELOW freezing. NOT cool! I cant imagine how you people north of me live. Better you then me! haha My wife and I are planning on moving to Southern Alabama or NW Florida before our daughter starts school, cant wait!!!
Funny story, I was visiting my dad in Alabama and I put new tires on my car, well down there they didnt even carry all season tires for my car so I had to get the summer/performance tires, driving on the snow this winter should be fun.
i always heard that about subaru... i just like a bigger vehical...dodge ram 4x4..Dan Feller;2442002; said:I drive a Subaru. There is no better car for snowy/icy conditions, in my opinion. My wife has a Volvo Cross Country and it won't go near as far in the snow in my Subaru.
AWD + Short Wheelbase = Unstoppable!
