Hello; This bit is too hard to swallow. To lie at the scale you have described requires work. Hard to keep the story straight because you have to remember all the lies. You knew what was happening when you lied.
Hello; I have a close personal friend since grade school. He has bi-polar for nearly 70 years. never made him into a liar. Does not seem like a suitable excuse for lying. For manic and depressive episodes sure. Sounds like a manic phase right now.

Well, I do appreciate people who aren't afraid to speak their mind.
I don't remember what was happening when I lied because it was well over 7 to 8 years ago. The point is it's the past and this is the future. This is today. I knew I was wrong for lying, but it's time for a new beginning. I am not someone that likes to dwell on the past.
I am glad to hear about your close friend not having lying. Not everyone who has bi-polar is the same. Some people have highs and lows some have manic episodes some have depression and then some have ways of getting attention. Everyone is different. No one is the same.
BTW, 70 years is quite the number... I assume you are a older fish keeper? That's pretty neat.

hello; Been around for 70 years this August but only a fishkeeper for around 57-58 years. Still a bit to learn about.
Here is a thought. Just start being honest we will catch on eventually. This leading with the line I was a pathological liar but you can trust me now just does not fly well. You do not have to keep telling how honest you are now, just be honest.
The brother of my first wife was much like you acknowledge to have been. He never got over it. Was telling me one day about the neat car he had in a garage. I forced his hand by going to the garage. It was amazing how the story changed several times before we got to the empty garage. Proof is in the pudding as they say.
