wolf fish keeps hurting itself

Man i should have read this thread before getting my wolf fish, i thought wolf fish only jump for food. First night, i changed water before adding the fish, it kept hitting aquarium hood and lost its teeth, when i turned on the light, it stopped. Best way is to reduce water level to 50% or at least 10 inches from water surface to aquarium hood and keep the light on.

my chap does it every so often. He has woken me up before because of the noise the glass sliders make when they clatter together. I think the only saving grace for him is that the sliders have a bit of give but are hard enough to remind him not to do it. So far, he has not left a mark on himself... touch wood.
