I usually call mine the monster, beast, rancor, wolf, psychopath, and occasionally little sh*t when he thinks my hands are food. Any of those names fit it very well (though the official name I had is Bowser).
For food, I’d recommend picking up hikari sinking carnivore pellets:
It’s like massivore but smaller so it doesn’t make as much of a mess. Any meaty food will also do well. I will periodically feed mine freeze dried mealworms, frozen river shrimp, salmon, and live crickets.
