I got this guy from the pet store 3 days ago already skinny and annorexic looking. wont eat frozen blood worms, wont eat frozen brine shrimp, wont eat either of the floating or sinking kind of pellets or sticks of any kind or flavor, wont eat flakes, wont eat live red worms or night crawlers, wont eat crickets from the bait shop. This is a Peacock Bass i thought bass were suppose to eat whatever could fit in there mouth. any ideas??? the only thing he will take is blood worms but then spits it back out.

keep the lights off and give him some time,

tank size? how long tank been runing? Tank mates? water perams?

150 gallon, tank has been up for almost 1 year. Currently have a baby electric blue jack dempsey he is about 2 inches, 2 striated botias about 3 inches, 2 zebra plecos, and one pike cichlid (red belly crawler) he is about 3 inches then i have the Peacock bass about 3.5 inches. Ph is 7, temp is 76. I just recently got rid of my convict and firemouths to get the Peacock bass.

76 is WAAAAYYYYY too low, emphases on the "way". For a baby cichla he should be up in the 86-88°

Definitely raise the temp up like the others say but I would move him to a smaller tank if you got one around. I've had better results with new baby bass that way. When he starts eating well and gains some weight back then move him back to the 150.
