Wont eat

now that he is eating I would change the diet to a good quality pellet, one small enough for his size. and they should be his main diet, any thing else treat. glad to hear he eating. :headbang2

Cool, any suggestions on pellets?
what do you feed yours. I was also going to mention that my PB is not very active, he sits in the bottom corner, so i need something that will sink down to him.

lower but still not bad pellets per say would be hykari and HBH. stay away from any other like tetris.

also a good ideal is get some Boyds Vita-chem and couple times a week, drop some pellets in it for a 2 or 3 minutes then feed them, or get some super freeze dried krill and soak over night.

Fist get him fat, then mix crushed massivore with blood worms. Hikari massivore is the best to pellet train cichla, NLS is horrible to train with because they don't like the taste or texture. With small bass you can break it up to smaller pieces.

well he ate that red worm yesterday. i woke up this am and he was dead floating in the tank. temp is still 88 degrees all other fish are are fine this morning. not sure what happen. maybe thats why the lfs guy gave him to me for free. I really want to get another one, but i dont think im doing this species an justice by having them in my tank. Are pb generall really picky eaters?
