88 seems awfull dang warm to me, that's ICK curing temp. but never raised PB,s, just jags oscars and JD,

Its fine. I can gaurentee you it wasnt the temp that killed it.

Ive accidentally let my tank get to 93°. Tank was in the garage, in VEGAS! And my juvi cichla were fjne, just hungry lol

understood not get me wrong, that would not kill it. I run my cichlids between 76 and 79, helps to keep aggression and nitrates lower.

try getting a healthier fat one from what I've heard pbass are crazy at feeding time, that one probably has internal parasites
