Yes, I have fry now. Just stripped my 2 of the 3 females who were holding and there were many fry with their yolk sacs. I am tumbling them as of now, and will strip the 3rd female tomorrow.

btw thats too many fish in a 40g especially the colony of peacocks.

but rreaally ncie fish

You should come and see for yourself. It's fine, as all Africans are slow growers. I've been keeping Africans for quite a while. Only the males of the peacock are 3 inches, other than that the rest are 2 inches and below. There are even some small ones that are coloring up at a very small size. I just gave my brother a pair of ruby greens for his 60 at home to cut some aggression off in the tank. My dominant ruby green puts everyone into check and is more peaceful than my punk nyerereis.

Um. mate youve got them in a 40g
thats a 3ft right?

to breed peacocksyou usually need a 4ft minimum.
Other wise thats cramped
a 3ft is pushing it.

not to mention the ruby greens + what ever else is in there.

sorry, just my .02c

I guess vics are pretty slutty lol
but the peacocks breeding in there might be a bit hard.

I've been breeding fish for a while too lol.

Once the fish have paired off, dropping them into a 3 foot tank is not a big deal. That extra foot is nice, but they can breed in a 36 inch tank.

I know a professional Discus and Angel breeder. He puts 8 inch discus pairs into 20 gallon highs once they start cleaning a spot to breed. Same with his angels. Sure, these aren't peacocks who swim more, but once they are paired off, they don't really care about tank space. They just care about getting laid...

I'm not breeding the peacocks, I'm growing them out for my brother's wild group of redshoulders. It's very peaceful, just some chasing here and there, but all is good. I'll even get pics of the redshoulders guys.
