  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Here are some pics I got my camera to focus finally haha yes and all the critters were up and active so I took about 20 pictures. I got these weird polyps with the live rock. I think I got some pics of them so tell me what you think they are.

i saw that too. take care of it before it gets bigger and starts dropping hundreds of babies a day. lemon juice, joes juice works well. Taking that one piece of rock out and soaking it in plain RO water will kill it. Recuring the rock will need to be done, outside of the tank and then added once cured again. Not a process i like, but is 99% effective on killing any babies that built up as well.

There are two of those on the LR I got and one type of another which I couldn't get a picture of. I guess I will soak them in tap water I don't have RO water at the moment. Would that be ok or how about an extremely hypersaline solution of a specific gravity of around 1.099 would that work?

dont soak in tap water. The rock will absorb copper if there is any. Just not a good idea, unless thats what your using in the tank. Lemon Juice needs to be injected into the anemone at its base with a small syringe. Its the process that i used and it worked very well, but its not really a method that should be used in smaller systems because of the potential disaster. I feel that your best bet is to re cure the rock after a good soak in non salt mixed water.

You can purchase joes juice, which is designed for this and kill the anemones that way.

As i said earlier though, soaking and recuring the rock will kill all the babies if any were released and anything else on/in the rock. Recuring in a small rubbermaid is easily done.
