thats bs imo..... if you sign up for a job..... you are responsible for your own health and well being..... hopefully that "overworked" wont catch on here in the states.....
Overworking is very dangerous especially if your body cannot rest or regain strength before working again.. At the first moment of serious fatigue I would stop and rest

Yeah , but if the corporate culture demands that you work killer hours for you to advance, then you have dont have a choice. So in effect, you are sort of forced to do it if you want to get ahead.
And we are overworked here.... Just compare our holidays and vacation against those of Europe and we pale in comparison.
I work for one of the biggest Japanese corporations here in the US and and the director in our department reports to somebody thats based in Japan. He tells us in our little pow-wows that hes always on call for his boss. It can be 1 am here in the US and it doesnt matter ...if the phone rings he is expected to answer it. Its crazy...
