That's cool for you guys who need some extra cash or store credit but I get enough fishwork in my own fishroom. Besides I make $85/hr and don't really need the in-store credit. I'd rather have the free time when not at work. (I'm old though compared to you young guys lol)

You make 176,800.00 a year if you work 52 weeks and do not make any overtime. And you are trying to one-up a highschool kid that is excited about working at the LFS????

i was thinking the same thing. kinda pathetic. i make good money also and was not going to throw it in someones face. maybe theres a forum called richstuckupfishkeepers.com you might be more at home there

Closest thing I came was when I was shoping with my mum, we remembered an advert for a new fish shop that was near so decided to go. Straight away my mum tried to get me a job there, was embarrasing, she was making out I knew everything about any fish, and that it was my life. I may know something about fish, but I'm the first to confess I know little compared to some people I know.

how does your credit work out like 1 fish per every 2 hors or what dollar per hour credit?

It depends on how hard i work, like if i did good work for 5hrs i could have like a £15-20 fish and a packet of food. Im not really in it for the rewards more the experience.

I used to work at a petSmart back in 2001. I am waiting for an opening in scheduling at my lfs. I already have a full time career (odd hours make it hard to get hired for a side job), just trying to get more experience and a little more cash for play money...

and who on here wouldnt want to work at their lfs even if just once a week ?

PetSmart wouldnt take trade ins on any pets, so everytime customers brought in a live animal it ended up at my house for free. I had quite the collection !
