LOL, we could start a injury thread!!

lol on a serious note don't let your work scr#w you around to get out of paying workmans comp. I was on it a couple years ago for a serious back issue(still have issues today) and the job pulled some tricky moves. So far as to when I was not to return to work for a month after finding out they called the doctor and beg him to sign off on my ability to stuff envelopes/play assistant. They called me with this info but I had my own orders to stay home.

Needless to say I had to go through the insurance company(moderator for both sides there) but I was in the right and they ended up paying me for time lost though they didn't want to. (I think you don't collect workmans comp til after 7 days off?)

All I'm saying is watch your back. If you're with a good company you might not have to.

feel better soon bro!

2 months ago i had the pleasure of getting my hand caught in forklift chain drive that drives the forks up and down. That took 1 month of workmens comp 14 stitches and 3 completely torn off fingernails...needless to say i wear very thick gloves now.

If you have insurance through your company then I'd watch what guapote is talking about I've seen it happen in my last two jobs people get hurt there doctor tells them they can't work have a documented medical injury and the sleeze bags dont wanna pay. If you are employed by a respectable company then I forsee little problem with collecting your pay...I had to wait 5 buisness days to receive my first check from comp.
