I agree ronaldo's handling was impressive but as soon as things didnt go his way gravity over came him and he fell like grass in a crop circle. I guess it wouldnt have bothered me but that seemed to be the teams solution for anything that didnt go as planned.
as far as italy vs france....i'd have to go with france (not really a massive favorite of mine but they can at least avoid trying to lay out the competition with elbows).
I was listening to the comentators on XM (which btw the late night show is much better than the morning one). They were joking that if italy and portugal made it there would be 15 minutes of stoppage time at the end of every half from the diving and time wasting. Sad part is i could see it happening.
I"m not sure what FIFA said to the ref this time but he seemed to be a lot better at over looking things he handed out cards for like candy during the US vs Italy game. I think he did and over all good job and made the game enjoyable to watch simply because he didnt stop it every time someone failed to over come the pull of gravity and made the players miraculously feel well enough to leap up, protest and chase after the ball.
