I honestly think i may just own it.

I'm absolutely jaw dropped at the moment, don't really know what to say, just had to get it out there, lol.

Right now he is swimming next to my Argentea (who was 11" 1 year ago, and is probably close to 13" now) and he is an absolute giant next to it.

He has some missing scales and slight fin damage, so the tank is currently medded, since i JUST brought him home, so any video wouldn't come out too great seeing the water is all too green at the moment.

As soon as it clears up again just slighty i'll throw up a video of this guy.

In the meantine though, i'd like to know what size the biggest you have ever seen is?

The biggest GT I've ever seen was about 10" and I thought that was big. You have to post a pic, c'mon! That's not right.

Alright here goes a horrible first picture of him.

It's a bad shot for size reference since the Argentea is more in the front of the tank, but atleast you can kinda tell how much of a brute this guy is, considering the size of the Argentea.

I didn't think saums would grow more than 12"..But this guy is without a shred of doubt beyond that mark.

awesome GT!

I have seen a larger one, noticeably old in age, in Macau, China.

Aha, it's amazing that typically people are informed that GT's max out at 10-12", when these brutes are around.

I have no doubt in my mind that this guy is 15"+, since this Argentea is most likely 13" (measured at 11" 1 year ago)

The store owner had picked this one up from a friend of his that is severely handicapped and has a several thousand gallon tank, and that this particular saum was 5 years old, which im glad to hear so it wont die on me any time soon.. atleast from old age, heck it might even grow larger, lol.

I'll throw up some more pictures, and maybe a video later tonight or tomorrow when the water has cleared
