Interesting that the picture showing the boy with his hand on the pig skull shows 2 large tusks visible in the right side of the skull, one in the upper jaw and one in the lower jaw. But the other picture looking at the dead pig head on with the hunters behind it only shows one tusk on the right side.

Every picture taken on that website has the people well behind the pig. While a very large boar at that.Every possible effort has been taken to make it look larger than it is with simple photography skills...

:iagree: It is a simple photography trick that I use to play with. When taking pictures, 3-D is reduced to 2-D i.e. no depth. I have taken pictures in the forest with a person well behind a normal tree with their hand and arm up in the air. With careful positioning, the final picture looked like the person was leaning against a giant redwood.

The kid was positioned well behind the boar.

For what it is worth, I do not believe hunting in a pen is ethical nor is it really hunting. The pigs name was Fred or Frank and was farm raised. It was sold to the 'canned hunt' ranch only a few days prior to it being killed.

All you say is very true, my friend. A .38 , even a .32, can kill at 200 yards...much more a .500 the point is: how many people can aim and shoot a revolver straight at a 200 yard distance? No way am I going to believe that an 11 year old is so proficient at revolver shoting that it could manage the aim, the recoil, etc...

i could hit a 2ft target at 100yrds when i was 10...why couldnt this kid hit a 9ft target at 200yrds?...?

BTW the S&W.500 is NOT the most powerful revolver out there.

The hog was tame. It was a PET WITH A NAME!!! :screwy:

The kid walked up to it. The hog thought it was going to be fed or petted. Only this time it got shot full of holes. Only then it gave chase for the next three hours.
