Worlds Largest Freshwater Fish?

you silly fish noobs! it's the chinese paddlefish (Psephurus gladius) at 22 feet. its not yet confirmed extinct, so we can't forget about it!
 
has it been confirmed at that size? im pretty sure it hasnt
 
I've seen pic of an Aligator gar 3 times the length of an average human adult on Wikipedia. i don't think those sizes exist anymore. the picture was black and white

that picture has been around the internet a while. its just a trick with depth perception. the gar really wasn't that big.
 
Those alleged 22 feet for the chinese paddlefish are also highly dubious and it is highly likey that this was only a big-fish-story. But still they reach lengths of 4 m and are undoubtly among the largest freshwater fishes.
